Americans for Contraception

Awareness Campaign

the Brief

With politicians threatening contraception access and most people unaware, Americans for Contraception needed to spread the word and make people care. The ask: a 15-second digital ad that could stop a scroll, communicate urgency, and make viewers want to learn more.

The insight & idea

Political ads have a problem — audiences often tune out the second they recognize one. And during election years, the fatigue is at its worst.

Our concept: don't make a political ad. Use the visual language of premium brands with cinematic renders of physical objects and apply it where no one would expect it, hooking viewers to get the message across.

my Role

Art Direction, Design, Animation

The execution

I handled the concept, art direction, 3D modeling from scratch, animation, and compositing — from initial idea through final delivery.  Rendering multiple elements at 1:1 made adapting the 16:9 cut into a 9:16 version seamless, so both versions felt purposeful rather than cropped. More reach, less rework.

The result

We delivered two platform-optimized versions: 16:9 for YouTube, Facebook, and connected TV, and 9:16 for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

The campaign topped the client's existing ads in both click-through rate and CPM. They adopted it as a flagship piece, displaying it at live events and sharing it when building partnerships. For a 15-second ad, that's a strong second life.
